Training Groups

Swimming Cycling and Running Training groups - join in fun with our training groups.  Everyone is welcome and they happen all year around.  It does not matter how fit or unfit you think you are, these groups are to help you get and stay active.  We split the groups depending on ability from beginners up.  Don’t stay away because you think everyone will be too fast etc…..Come and join in with the awesome group of women that are having fun, keeping motivated, developing technique and getting fit – all at the same time!!

Full up to date details are on the website but in brief they are:

Swimming: Wednesday evenings 6:30pm – 7:30pm QEII. Meet at end of 50m pool by the toilet doors.  Technique and training…  normal pool entry plus $5 per person paid poolside.  (If you are interested in one on one swim coaching email or call me for more information.  Barbara)


Cycling: Saturday mornings 8:00am.  Meet by main entrance to Princess Margaret Hospital.
This is opportunity to ride with company.  MTBikes welcome.  Split into groups with distance and speed.  Hill Group – If you want to ride the hills meet Robyn & Carmel at Sign of Takahe at 8:45am.  These groups do not have technique training, there will be some help to learn to ride together safely tho.  No charge.


Running/Walking: Thursday evenings 6pm.  Meet in car park under the Contours City Club on the corner Durham & Armagh Streets.
Leave bags etc at Contours on 1st Floor.  We have a 2 weekly programme.


Week 1
is exercises, drills and fun to improve your fitness and technique. $5 per person
Week 2
is a group run/walk.  We split into groups for different distances and speeds.  Everyone is welcome.  Handy to have a headlight.  No charge
